MALAYSIA AUTOMOTIVE INSTITUTE (MAI)

DATE : 11 JUNE 2012

The main purpose of MAI's visit was to discuss various aspects of vehicles re-builders, and industry which MITRANS conducted a study on that industry not too long ago. MAI, with a team that included Dipl. Ing. (FH) Hulaimi Ismail (Researcher, Strategic Research) and Irlan Norris bin Ishak (Associate), interviewed the Director of MITRANS, Dr Intan Rohani Endut, who was one of the authors of the report on that industry. In addition, there was also discussions on various aspects of the National Automotive Policy (NAP) as well as green logistics. It appears that in addition to halal logistics, the area of green logistics seems to be one of the buzz words in the logistics industry at the moment. It is good to see that industry is becoming more aware of carbon emissions and its negative impact on the environment.
