InQKA AUDIT AT MITRANS

DATE : 29 AUGUST 2012

The Institute of Knowledge Advancement (InQKA) is tasked with ensuring that the management and dissemination of knowledge in UiTM remains a mark of the excellence. In carrying out this task, InKA audits various faculties and departments in UiTM to determine that procedures for quality management are being adhered to. Leading this merry team is Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Hj Hazman Shah Abdullah, aided by Assoc Prof Dr Ashari Abd Jalil.

The programme under audit is LT780, a Master of Science postgraduate degree by research. When the programme was first launched, MITRANS did not have a computer code for the system, hence its students had to be registered under various faculties. However, as of last year, with the designation of LT780, MITRANS is able to register students under its own roof. Postgraduates registered under this programme under research into transport and logistics covering many areas. For example, green logistics, halal logistics, logistics and trade facilitation, public transportation, human resource problems in the logistics industry and various aspects of engineering which are relevant to transport and logistics.

Assoc Prof Dr Ashari Abd Jalil starts the audit process.
