As one of the Centers of Excellence (CoE) at UiTM, MITRANS is responsible for fostering a culture of research among MITRANS Academic, Associate and Fellow Members. In this regard, MITRANS has initiated to establish the deLima@MITRANS which aims to generate new knowledge and findings that can contribute to the improvement of intellectual levels, the creation of new technologies and the nurturing of a dynamic culture in line with the aspirations of UiTM and the country. The MITRANS Strategic Partner (MSP) Grant is established to strengthen MITRANS research performance at the national and international levels through collaborative relationships with industry or agencies to accelerate the number of private, national or international grants and joint publications. This MSP grant is a matching grant (Matching grant) that will be offered to researchers who have strong collaborative relationships with industry or national or international agencies to increase the number of external grants MITRANS, MoU/MoA, publications in indexed journals, product production, Intellectual Property Right (IPR), commercialization and so on. This grant also aims to inculcate a culture of borderless research among researchers as a catalyst for the application of larger national and international research grants.

In this regard, MITRANS has established the MITRANS-ALUMNI COLLABORATIVE GRANT which aims to encourage research collaboration between ALUMNI and MITRANS Academic, Associate and Fellow Members. With the collaboration between Alumni and MITRANS, it will help breed new knowledge and findings that can contribute to the improvement of intellectual levels, the creation of new technologies and the nurturing of a dynamic culture in line with the aspirations of UiTM and the country.
